When you buy a Mafell FM 1000 Milling Motor it comes with a 8mm collet as standard. To use a wide range of different end mills you will need other collet sizes. These 3mm, 1/8″, 4mm, 6mm, 1/4″ and 8mm collets are specially made for the Mafell FM 1000 Milling Motors, they are precision made and have extremely low runout.
